Episode #4- Josh Griffey

It was inevitable that I had Griffey come out for a podcast.  He's a fellow writer, a writing partner of mine on occasion.  He's a podcaster, a friend, a husband, a groomsmen...a jack of all trades if you will.  Ultimately though, he's a truly great person.  Despite his 'rough' persona, Griffey...very deep down...like probably for only a handful of people...is a very kind and soulful individual.

Griff and my Wife.  This is very typical of their interactions.
We had a lot to talk about, and truthfully, he's going to have to come back because we spent so much time talking about movies and our respective creative careers that we failed to get into more personal matters.  That's OK though, in truth.  He's absolutely hilarious, and a really fantastic conversationalist.

He's easy to talk to, and once you get him going, he's just gonna go.  Example:  This podcast is about an hour and fifteen minutes.  We talked for over two hours, without even breaking a sweat.

Wipeout Wrap Party.  We got trashed.
Griffey and I stand very differently on what we feel about movies, writing particularly.  But we've worked together in the past, and he's a great writer in his own right.  He's a smart guy with a big heart.  He's a guy whose done me solid after solid.  He's the friend you know is going to be there.

He's also highly opinionated, so fair warning: if you get easily offended...don't listen.  Griffey is an incendiary individual and he's truly on a one-man mission to provide quality to the masses...by telling them they're wrong. (Sorry Griff...you know it's the truth.)

Griffey and his lovely wife, Amy.  You lucky SOB.
Either way...a great podcast.  He'll be back for sure. Links below for the podcast, and for Griffey's show, 'Booze Buddies', another great podcast he hosts with our friends Sam and Kurt.  Definitely check it out.  Thanks for listening.  Enjoy!
